58 YEAR OLD SLIPPED AND SLIDED FOR HOURS! = HAPPY MOM!Jun 19, 2009
By Denise L. Kirby
WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW ABOUT THIS ITEM BECAUSE READ MANY ON OTHER SLIP AND SLIDE AND DIDN'T WANT TO BUY. SO I CHOOSE THIS SLIP AND SLIDE BECAUSE IT WAS THE CHEAPEST ($10). GOT IT HOME (YESTERDAY) MY 8 YEAR OLD COULD NOT WAIT FOR ME TO GET THE BAGS UNLOADED. WENT OUTSIDE AND HOOK UP HIMSELF!(5 STARS ALONE FOR THAT!) ANOTHER 5 STAR FOR HOURS PLAYED (4 HOURS). I HAD TO FIGHT WITH HIM TO GET HIM IN TO EAT DINNER THEN ALL I HEARD THE REST OF THE NIGHT WAS COME ON MOM ONE MORE SLIDE! WELL WORTH $10. A POOL OWNER SO HE DID CHOOSE TO PLAY WITH JUST BECAUSE HE WANTED TO GET WET! BOTTOM LINE REALLY GLAD I BOUGHT IT. HAPPY KIDS = HAPPY MOMS

5slippin slidin funOct 29, 2010
By Ken Cholden
This was so much fun for my 2yr old, 5 yr old and 7 yr old girls. I made sure to be very careful with setting it down on the ground so as to avoid tears. I actually placed a tarp underneath to eliminate the sharp grasses, sticks, uneven ground which can tear the plastic. It performed perfectly.

1Not the Slip 'n Slide I remember. Complete waste of moneyJul 16, 2010
By C. Woodall
The old slip 'n slide was primitive by comparison. Just a piece of plastic with metal "staple" type stakes for the corners with a sprayer tube running down the side. When you reached the bottom it was just a slide off into the mud (but a ton of fun!).

This new design incorporates a splash pool type thing at the end with sprayers to make it fun. Not a bad idea, but there are so many holes at the end of the slide where you splash, that there isn't enough water left to adequately wet the sliding area (where you NEED it to hydroplane). And yes, I have good water pressure. This only gets worse if you set it up on a hill. Even a slight hill robs the top of the slide of water in favor of the splash pool (like you'll ever slide that far...)

The review that complained that the sprayers only squirt up is wrong. Sometimes they spray away, or down, or past.... It all depends on how the sprayer tube is rotated. Unfortunately you need to re-aim it frequently and often. What a pain.

Ultimately we found a hill in our side yard, laid out some 6 mill plastic from the hardware store and aimed a sprinkler on it. What a BLAST!

The Slip 'n Slide is in the trash!

5perfect summer funAug 01, 2011

Easy set-up, and lots of fun for the kids! I didn't have problems with it tearing, like some other reviews mentioned. Yes, you have to adjust the side so that the water sprays on the slide... but it's not like I was adjusting it all day (maybe two or three times all afternoon). I'm totally satisfied with the purchase.

1Not worth it...at any price.Jun 11, 2009
By Daliman "Daliman-professional gambler"
I was able to purchase this at a local store for only $10, but when I got it home, it lasted literally only ten minutes with a 3, 5 and 6 year old playing on it. The side streams don't shoot near high enough, or even onto the slide, as the holes are punched top dead center, so the streams pretty much just go straight up, (obviously they should be at a 75 degree angle or so.) After ten minutes, the base where the water pools into got a 4-inch split in it.
