The set was complete and packaged compactly in it's carring case. The foam inserts broke apart quickly, making reinserting everything back in the case after use tricky.
However, the set its self was fine for the cost. Fit and finish of all components was better than expected. I consider the set a good overall value.

At $41, this croquet set is WAY overpriced. The "carrying case" is cheap plastic fabric with styrofoam partitions (that had basically disintegrated by the time it was delivered to me). I anticipate it will last approximately two carries. The wood for the mallet heads has big age mark spirals that were not very artfully painted over. I'm in a bind for a set (for a party), so I'm going to stick with it, but I would advise you, unless they come down to around the $25 mark, to seek another set.

This is a rather cheaply made croquet set compared to those from the old days. I'm often asked if it's a children's croquet set. I don't mind the skimpy wickets, but the mallets should really be more substantial. Still, nothing's broken yet and it's provided some summer fun.

Ordered this set for my husbands birthday. OK quality, lighter weight than I expected. Does not fit back into bag unless completely disembled, and really who has time for that?
