Great game. Bolo balls should be made better.Jul 15, 2009
By M. Weber We purchased this product at Kohl's for about $20 after a sale and 30% discount. The game is lots of fun. Unfortunately, the balls are VERY bouncey and the cord between the balls is not very good. The balls came off the string, but we were able to easily put the balls back on and we tied all of the knots bigger on the rest of the balls. The balls get tangled very easily. HOWEVER, I gave the product a rating of "4" because it is a great game. My sister bought the Helix Lasso Ball version. The bolos are better on her set but the set itself is very flimsy. This set is much sturdier since it's made with PVC.
For $20, it's worth it. However, I may purchase (or make) different bolos.

bolos not well madeJul 06, 2009
By MB We recently purchased this product and on it's first use the bolos came apart. How disappointing and when I contacted Sportcraft they would do nothing for us. I would not recommend buying anything from Sportcraft since they do not stand behind their product.

All of it sturdy, good bolo-ball physics tooMar 24, 2011
By herding123 I got this game for myself and my family so that we would spend more time together... and because its just plain fun! I was pleasently surprised at how fast I got the item being it was right after the Christmas holiday when they have tons of shipments to fill, etc. I found that the directions were clear and I found the PVC piping to be very sturdy and strong. It comes with pairs of drivers to stick around the bottom of each put together ladder so that you can make sure it sticks in the ground and will not shift when you throw the bolo-balls at it, etc. We do not always have to use them but that feature is a plus for different environments, especially when it becomes windy outdoors and we wish to play the game then. I liked that fact that it also had its carrying case... we will take it to someone else's house or def. to the big community park. The ladders aren't especially easy to take apart but not too difficult at the same time- the piping is very sturdy and strong. I had seen some negative reviews about the bolo-balls that come with this product so was a little hesitant but knew that if that was the case I could easily get a couple replacements for cheap. I noticed first and foremost that they seemed smaller and heavier- you can hear the sand/bead ingredient inside the balls. I liked that they were smaller and heavier at the same time because that gives you a more accurate physicality so it has much better precision... good for all players, especially those advanced or more experienced. I thought these features of these specific bolo-balls were a major plus as well. I tell you, these bolos have been thrown so hard they've smacked into brick walls, even hit the roof (a player who was acting all goofy when he threw it!), smashed into hard rocks on the ground time upon time again. And they have NOT broken or wore down. They have remained in tact and strong (I'm really surprised even with how much damage they've encountered they are still the in tact and functioning perfectly- other bolos from other kits that would appear stronger would have broken by now LOL) I'm not sure why the other players said the bolos were not good, but maybe they accidentally got a bad batch of them? These bolos at least in my case are very sturdy as well. And, if you want better precision with your throwing, the features of these bolos are great- smaller and a bit heavier (good combination). I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to create more family time, time outdoors, etc. And it is at a WONDERFUL price in comparison to others that hold up the same or not even as well for the higher price. In my experience, I give this whole product in all its features a definite 5-star rating. Go play ladder-ball and make some memories!!!! Hope this helps... Kris

When we received the Ladder Ball set and went to build it we realized that it had a combination of wrong pieces included and missing pieces. Honestly how hard is it to put the correct pieces of PVC into a bag? Don't buy it would be easier and way cheaper to build yourself!
