I've brought them to a couple of parties and social events and everyone loves them. The balls light up extremely well and can be seen very easily from far distances. They are made of very strong plastic resin material that can handle heavy impact. They aren't regulation weight, but are good enough and roll well on grassy surfaces. They are also easier for young kids to roll than regulation balls, but also have enough weight to not seem like a cheap toy for adults. My set has about 10 hours of usage time on their lights and are still going strong. I recommend this to anyone, great addition for a party, or a camping trip or outdoor bbq in the backyard. You can't go wrong with a set of glo bocce balls.

The balls themselves are a great size and weight. You aren't getting the true "bocce" feel because they are plastic, but that's to be expected here. I was a little frustrated at first, because all of the balls come with flashing lights and I didn't realize that the replacement bulbs are actually the non-flashing lights. Once we switched them all out, it was perfect. I do wish that the jack (small white ball) had the option for non-flashing just because i hate to look at strobe effects. Comes with a whole set of replacement batteries, a screwdriver, clear directions for replacement, and a very nice carrying case (actually a big convenience!). I highly recommend this set, it'll really go far with our after-dusk bocce games on the beach.

We just received our bocce set today and couldn't wait to play it at night! Just came in from playing and we had a blast with it! The balls are perfect size (for adults and kids) and not to heavy for the little ones to throw. The lights are not to bright. The set came with plenty of extra batteries too! It was exactly what we wanted! THANKS!

Although the balls are a plastic, they feel like a good weight for bocce balls. The glow in the dark feature is AMAZING for night time play and the set includes so many batteries that I believe that I'll be able to play for years without buying new batteries for the balls. I saw some reviews saying that the balls flash instead of stay at a steady glow and I did not find that to be the case. Each ball glows steadily and I was very happy with this purchase.

When the lights work, the set is great and exactly what most are looking for. We love to play bocce in the backyard, but always hated when the sun went down, and the balls becomes harder to see. We were hoping this set would allow us to continue the fun into the night. Unfortunately, most of my points are negative, but buyers should be aware of these observations.
- Two of the balls had dead batteries when the set was first opened.
- One ball had a bulb that did not work at all (even after replacing the batteries).
- The flashing set of bulbs were very annoying (also noted by other reviewers). The solid state bulbs are much better.
- Daytime use: To use the set without the lights on, you cannot screw the plug (housing the bulb) in all the way. So, the ball is not smooth and has raised plug. We use our other set during the day - Park & Sun BB-109 Bocce Pro Set
- Some times the lights will go off after hitting another ball. Getting the light on usually involves tapping them or dropping them on the lawn until the light comes back on.
- Bulbs stopped working after first use and changing the batteries made no difference.
- Balls are plastic and will scratch and get gouged, which is why they should be used on soft surfaces and away from driveways (grass, fine sand).
- Bulb plugs appear rather cheap and somewhat fragile.
