5I like this GameJul 09, 2009
By Mark C. Kipf
I've had a couple cheaper ladderball games. This one in nice for a couple reasons.

First, it stays together. Some come apart frequently.

Second, I like the weighted base sections. This one doesn't need to be staked down.

Lastly, the balls and cords are better made. Some have foam balls that the cord rips through.

I expect this one to last a long time and we will get a lot of use from it.

5Fun & ChanllengingJan 14, 2008

Double Ladderball - This is a fun and challenging lawn game. Easy to put together or break down. Nice storage case to keep all parts together.

Length of toss can be adjusted to suit almost any age. Really fun !

1Doesn't Stay TogetherAug 03, 2008

I can't believe how people are giving this item 5 stars. The only positive thing I will say is that the balls it comes with are soft and good for kids to use instead of the traditional golf ball like ones. I knew when I was putting it together that it wasn't going to hold up. The bars that go across that you throw the balls on do not fit well in the slots that they go in. We just had a picnic where both adults and kids were playing the game. EVERYONE was frustrated because the poles kept falling off and you had to constantly fix them. So frustrating that everyone quit playing it all together. I bought it because of the rating and the price. I don't know if the more expensive ones are any better, but I would take my chances instead of buying this one.

3Double ladderball gameAug 14, 2008

I love this game!!! Everyone that plays it wants to purchase one for themselves. Unfortunately my game is not holding up well after a handful of uses. The bars are cracking and the balls are coming undone. I'm not sure what to do about this since I want to keep playing the game.

3Works but not very sturdy.Sep 02, 2009

This set is good for somebody that has portability as their highest priority.

It's easy to set up and easy to tear down. I keep mine half-way assembled in the trunk of my car so that it would be easy to pull out and set up in the park.

It is unfortunately not very sturdy however. It starts to pull apart a little bit after extended play, so you have to stop every once in a while and push pieces back together tight. I also imagine it could be very easily damaged. If durability is your highest priority, you are better off getting something beefier or finding instructions on the web for building your own.

The bolas are well designed with soft (although not squishy) balls. They feel right when you throw them. I brought this to a cookout recently and everybody had a great time playing.
