Very good for a starter kitMar 30, 2006
By E. Lowe I've owned this set for a few weeks and must say it's very good. The driver disk (the Leopard) has a great glide (better than Innova's Cheeta), has a fairly straight flight and is very easy to control. It's not a long-range driver, but will get the job done. The Shark has a managable left turn and is good for getting around obstacles. The Aviar is your standard putter--very straight but develops a bit of a left hook over distances.

The Perfect Starter SetDec 02, 2008

As a disc golf beginner, I have found this set to be great for the new disc golfer. Compared to other sets I have used, this one seems to be superior and has the essential discs. Discs have great weight and balance. Didn't take long until I had the hang of the movement and feel of the different discs. I bought 2 sets: one for my husband and one for me. Seller sent 2 different color bags, which was fantastic because my husband and I could differentiate our set. Whether you're a casual disc golfer, or just starting out, this set is perfect.

Nice Disc SetMar 20, 2009

This is a very good set! They've served me well for several games and will do well in more, I know! I picked up how to throw them pretty quickly (in the first game) and had a great time. They held up pretty well considering that some of the courses I played on were straight-up dirt and rock. (A skip across the pavement left a smal notch but I blame that on the tiny, ill-placed course not the disc.) The aviar put & approach is easy to throw, the leopard really soars (even through a bit of wind). The shark was my favorite was great as a midrange disc though I did find myself using it for a driver or in an approch shot. Overall, it was a great buy and I would absolutely reccomend this package for a beginner disc golfer!

Good purchase for beginners.Dec 07, 2008

This is a great set for beginning disc golfers to learn how to play the game (sport?). However, if you're no longer a beginner and want something a little more advanced and more fun to play with, look into the Innova champion disc sets.

Great starter setApr 22, 2010

I used to play disc golf and wanted to get back into it but my old discs were all beat up. I saw this package and decided to go for it because it came with 2 drivers (Valkyrie and a Beast), a mid-range (Shark), a putter (Aviar Putt & Approach), a bag, and a mini disc to mark your lie. The discs are made from Innova's DX plastic which dents easily when it hits a tree or lands on pavement. I've already began to upgrade to the champion plastic which is more durable, but these are perfect for beginners. Also, my order shipped from a store called the Wright Life who delivered it in only two days.
