Hi, I bought this expecting a good family set for the money but did not listen to others who when't there before me. This set has the worst wickets around , the mallets are poor and must be taken apart after use for storage. The wood is not like good old american birch or maple but short growth junk with many knot holes that have been putty filled making it weak.Save your money and get a Paris set made by Pierce Point Laser, there cheepest set is about $90.00 but 50 times better and will last more than this at 1/2 game before things started breaking up.

We were very disappointed in the quality of this product and immediately returned it. The workmanship was so bad we were unable to even assemble the mallet heads onto the shafts in order to use the set.

We purchased the Helex Croquet set as it was on our grandson's ages 12 & 14 Christmas list. When we bought it on Amazon.com we could not find a set that had a hard plastic case like the set we have had for about 18 years, in the price range we wanted to pay. The case is vinyl and likely won't last for very long. The wooden mallets & balls look OK and the set is complete. Time will tell what the quality is like. The gift will not been opened or used until Christmas.

Actual croquet set is decent - not great but given the price its fine. The case is so small that the mallets must be disassembled to fit. Really a misleading product description given the case was a key selling point.
